Adaptive reuse of buildings is playing an ever more important role in the renewal of the city. The vision for the revitalisation of Vinery Road was to meet the growing need for high quality office space within a brownfield site in Cambridge. The project has re-used and upgraded an existing commercial warehouse building to create a new office facility in the Mill Road area. This approach had several advantages, including speeding up both the planning and construction process and reducing overall costs.
The resulting office spaces are well lit, open and flexible, with an emphasis on providing an optimal working environment for users, with staff facilities including a kitchen, meeting spaces and secure bin and bike storage.
