Owers Warwick Architects were appointed to masterplan a large site north of Cambridge, developing it into a science and technology park focused on high-tech and mid-tech industries. The design is informed by the site’s beautiful natural features, including flat, low-lying landscapes, wetlands, scattered tree outcrops that an provide an immense sense of space and endless skies.

The plan preserves and repurposes a group of historic brick warehouses, which form the historic core of the development. These buildings will be used for manufacturing, creative industries, and support services.  Alive with cafes, restaurants, and exhibition space this forms the heart of the new community.

New science and technology buildings are located west of the main access point, arranged around a purpose-built lake that serves as a central, natural feature of the site.

The proposals balance business and recreational uses, creating a thriving community to meet the growing demand for science, technology, and manufacturing spaces in the Cambridge-Oxford arc.
